Fire Engine Driving 1 hour Shared (2 to 1)

Can you imagine yourself at the wheel of a 13 Ton Dennis or Scania 82 Fire Appliance? Maybe you've never even thought about it, but now we've mentioned it, why not? Usually you'd be getting out the way of a fire engine - why not get in one!

Check availability for the next 2 months. For later dates, schedules will not yet be available and so you should have a wide selection of dates to choose from when you come to book.

What's included

Instructor ratio; 2 to 1
Time at experience; 1 hour 15 minutes
Time in vehicle; 1 hour
Drive time; 30 minutes
Time at venue; 1 hour 45 minutes
The course ends with the presentation of a certificate of attendance and instructor feedback.

Availability; This activity is run on selected weekdays and Saturdays throughout the year, with various start times both morning and afternoon.

Spectator Information; Guests are welcome and we encourage specators to get as close to the action as safely possible, however we do ask that all guests are prebooked. Refreshments (tea/coffee/hot chocolate/orange) will be available on arrival free of charge for yourself and 2 guests.

Please Note; Vouchers can be transferred and validity extended subject to an administration fee.

Booking your event; We recommend that you purchase your voucher and make a booking for your event at least one month prior to your chosen date. This is particularly important for weekend events.

Voucher

Each voucher entitles one person to participate in this experience. The voucher is transferable, which means that anyone can use it. The voucher remains valid for bookings for 9 months from the date of purchase. Please contact the operator using the details printed on your voucher to arrange a date for your event.

Special Conditions

You must be fit, able bodied and 17 year of age or over. (under 18 years need parental consent on the day) You must be fit enough to enable you to climb into a relatively high cab. We can give you some help if need be. Maximum weight is 114kg (18stone), maximum height 1.93m (6ft 4”0, minimum height 1.57m (5ft2”). A full valid UK or European driving licence will need to be brought and shown on the day. If you have a disability that may prevent you from driving on the public roads, but think that with our help you could drive this vehicle safely, please enquire about attending this course.
